Do you ever wonder, like I do, why, of all lifetimes and of all people, you would be born completely and utterly infatuated with horses?

Why their smell is a tonic, their hoof beats stir your heart, why they capture your imagination with their movement, and bring you to life when you connect? I have now interviewed well over a hundred podcast guests and worked with thousands of horse people who repeat the same story, that they don’t know why, but horses have always held the keys to their hearts.

And those same people, those intertwined ones, see and feel the pain and suffering wrought by humans on this species, and they feel the heavy load of knowing that perhaps they themselves, or their not too distant ancestors were complicit in this harm. And for many of us, this is where we can become trapped, not knowing how to be in good relations with our beloved horses, feeling confusion, impotence, guilt and even apathy. Our precious sensitivity can turn against ourselves. We turn away from the horse world to try to find a place of peace for our horses and ourselves. And yet, the horse collective is waiting to be heard, seen, felt and loved into health and wholeness.

But how to connect? This has been my leading question for a very long while. Several decades in fact, as an equine sport therapist first then intuitive, facilitator, author and more. Constantly questioning my role amongst the herd, and amongst horses in general. Where do I fit in the bigger picture of it all? What do my connections to this unique herd of four, and to the other horses that cross my path, mean for my path forward and theirs, and perhaps more importantly, for the whole horse collective?

If you too have spent countless hours pondering questions just like these, I would love to invite you to a very special 3-day gathering, hosted by the herd and land at Raven Moon Farm with facilitation support from myself and some very special horse people .

This container will be an opportunity for an honest and unfiltered unpacking of where we’ve come from, where we are now, where we’re headed, and what is needed from the perspective of the horses and herds in our lives.

There will be skill-building, because in times of collapse, tucking supportive handy tools like Applied Kinesiology, animal communication, wild-crafting and medicine making, horse-first training, and energy and body working in our tool-kits can be deeply resourcing.. I love curating amazing learning opportunities with my favourite teachers so that I can learn and grow my skills and knowledge as well.

There will also be ample time to sink in, to stir, to write, to move and to root. We will not be skimming surfaces. We’ll be exploring the shadowy depths with a herd of dark horses, truth-seeking in collaboration with horses everywhere. Because it’s time to come together and do this good work for our beloved horses.

Who is this opportunity for?

  • Equine professionals wanting to take their service to horses to a more real place, wanting to unpack why they decided on this career with horses in the first place,
  • Anyone wanting to change this industry from within and wanting to deepen their why and their how
  • Any horse owner that is unsure how to care for their own horse/herd in the most love-filled way
  • Any horse lover that knows there is something to this horse connection and isn’t sure what
