Are you a rider looking to improve your awareness of your body and the systems supporting your balance, strength, agility, vitality and functionality? This self-paced online course is an opportunity to expand and deepen your understand what it means to be both existing in a body as well as interfacing with horses in and out of the saddle. It was designed by Osteopathic Manual Practitioner and fellow rider Alexa Linton to support you to understand the function, form, landscape and connectivity of your unique body, and in turn, understand your horse better as well.

It’s important on a number of levels to meet horses where they are – in the body. When we know our body, and how it functions, we hold the keys to understanding how to move more freely, find confidence in unexpected or novel experiences (which happen with horses all the time!), and find that ever elusive sense of play by discovering renewed joy in moving, an asset to any horse-human relationship.

This course includes seven 75 minute webinars with Alexa covering essential physical mechanisms to riders and horse people through an osteopathic lens and movement science lens, with a practice to complete each webinar to integrate the new information into your system. Each webinar has a downloadable Powerpoint in PDF format.
